- Account information: name, email address (via Google Sign-In)
- Profile information: degree level, intended course/major, target intake, funding source, current application stage
- Application and visa tracking data: universities applied to, checklist completion status, visa document status, course start date, study location, outstanding tuition amount (UK track)
- Payment information: processed entirely by Stripe; Study Abroad Copilot does not store full payment card details
2. How We Use Information
We use collected information to provide and improve the Service, including generating personalized checklists, timeline health assessments, and financial calculations, and to process subscription payments.
3. Data Sharing
We do not sell personal information. We share data with:
- Stripe, for payment processing
- Google, for authentication (Sign-In with Google)
- Supabase, our database hosting provider
- Service providers as necessary to operate the Service, bound by confidentiality obligations
4. Data of Minors
Given that some users may be under 18, we take extra care with data collected from minors. Where required by applicable law, we seek parental consent before collecting personal data from users under the age of majority in their jurisdiction.
5. Data Retention and Deletion
Users may request deletion of their account and associated data by contacting srinikethkannan@gmail.com. We will delete data within 30 days of a verified request, except where retention is required by law (e.g., financial records related to payments).
6. Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect user data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure authentication, and access controls. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. International Data Transfers
As our hosting and processing infrastructure spans multiple regions, your data may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own, including the United States. We take steps to ensure such transfers comply with applicable law.
